"Just returned from a terrific 3 weeks in Praia Del Rey (August 2010). The apartment is huge and has every home comfort you could wish for - so much bigger than the photos suggest. The wifi internet worked perfectly and our whole family had so much space and comfort - by far the largest and most comfortable apartment we have stayed in (10 out of 10). Location was great for us - very quiet and relaxing. A car is a must as restaurants, shops etc are all a drive away but this makes for a peaceful location away from the crowds. There are lots of other sandy beaches within 10 - 20 mins should the sea mist roll in (which it did for a few days) but all the beaches are quiet and the waves up and down this coast are a kite surfers dream. A summary is, if you are looking for a busy beach holiday with everything on your doorstep, or plan on staying around a lagoon pool all day and have no plans to drive, then look elsewhere BUT if you are looking for a relaxing 5star luxury self catering holiday apartment on a beautiful queit sandy coast, away from the crowds and with world class golf and good tennis facilities, then this is the place to be (I didn't see one football shirt the entire holiday!). Dave (the owner) answered all questions straight away and he ensured everything ran to plan and was "stress free" - thanks Dave."

This apartment lived up to every word of its description. It is a very comfortable and spacious ground floor appartment surrounded by a large terrace which was great for relaxing in the sun and eating outside.Tastefully furnished , very well equipped and has a constant supply of hot water ( with great pressure for showers) . The shared swimming pool is big and was quiet during our week's stay in August. The location is ideal just a few minutes walk from the beach and within easy reach of the resort facilities including the beautiful PDR golf course. There are lots of places of interest nearby - our favourites were the beautiful medieval walled town of Obidos, Obidos lagoon and amazing Bhudda Eden Garden with winery attached near Bombarral.
The booking was refreshingly easy thanks to the efficiency of the owner who dealt with emails very promptly and was very helpful. The deposit was returned very quickly. Many thanks for a very memorable week- we would love to return.
